Company Merger: Submit Old and New Registrations, Apply for New Certificate, Declare Pending Liabilities Under Excise Regulations. A company group inquired about the procedure for merging a loss-making unit in Ahmedabad under central excise regulations. They asked whether they need to submit the old registration certificate and apply for a new one, and if additional details are required by the excise authority. The response advised submitting both existing and merger unit registrations, applying for new registration with all necessary documents, and providing an undertaking to the Excise Department regarding any pending liabilities of the merger unit.
