Registeration

sunil jain
In case of rent is recd for 2 or more properties at different locations( say differnet city), whether I need single registeration or multiple registeration or centralised registeration. Further if I have centralised registeration for my one branch and now I am to obtain registeration for HO for renting category at different location. Should I go for new registeration or can go for amendment in Br. centralised registeration. Both HO & brnach are at same loaction. Thanks, CA. R.K. Aggarwal
Amending Existing Centralized Registration Preferred Over New Registration for Service Tax on Multi-Location Property Rentals A user inquired about the registration requirements for service tax when receiving rent from multiple properties in different locations. They asked whether a single, multiple, or centralized registration is necessary, and if an amendment to an existing centralized registration for a branch is possible when registering a head office in the same location. The response suggested that while a new registration is an option, amending the existing centralized registration for the branch is preferable. (AI Summary)
