EOU Can Dispatch Materials Using CT-3 Despite Expired B-17 Bond, If Re-Warehousing Certificate Is Received in 90 Days. A customer issued a CT-3 certificate to clear materials, but it was discovered that the B-17 bond had expired five days prior. The customer renewed the bond under a different number. The question was whether materials could be cleared using the earlier CT-3. Responses clarified that since the customer is an Export Oriented Unit (EOU), the B-17 bond renewal is a formality, and materials can be dispatched under the same CT-3, provided a re-warehousing certificate is received within 90 days. The renewal does not necessitate a new CT-3 as the bond remains valid despite the different file number. (AI Summary)
