TDS Application

Janeesh TG

Sir,

I receive a invoice for printing diary ( for sending to my customers as a gift) from a Press, my question is that , i will pay the amount under which head of expenses ? and is it applicable for Tds?

Regards

Janeesh

Invoice for Printing Diaries as Gifts Not Subject to TDS Under Section 194C; Classified as Purchase of Goods A user inquired about the appropriate expense head for an invoice received for printing diaries, intended as gifts for customers, and whether it is subject to Tax Deducted at Source (TDS). Two respondents clarified that the transaction is not covered under section 194C of the Income Tax Act, as it is considered a purchase of goods. Therefore, there is no obligation to deduct TDS for this invoice. (AI Summary)
