non payment of interest along with service tax for late remittance of service tax

Rajeev Kalra
i want know if i pay service tax only in one month and interest for late remittance of service tax after two month then how we calculate interest . whether interst will be calculated till the date of payment of service tax or any other interest will be due for not paying interest along with service tax.
Interest on Late Service Tax: Calculate from Due Date to Payment Date, 13% Rate, Simple Interest Only A user inquired about calculating interest on late service tax payments when the service tax is paid in one month and the interest in another. One respondent advised that interest should be calculated from the service tax due date until the actual payment date, noting quarterly due dates for proprietors and a 13% interest rate on the service tax, including additional cesses. Another respondent confirmed that only simple interest is required from the due date to the payment date, and there is no additional interest on the delayed payment of interest. (AI Summary)
