Service tax liability for letting furnished rooms: reply indicates the activity is not presently taxable under current rules. Whether service tax applies to a company letting fully furnished, air conditioned rooms with food and whether registration is required; the advisory reply stated that, on the facts presented, the letting activity is not liable to service tax at present and no registration guidance was provided.
