Are Financial Credit Notes for Post-Sale Discounts Taxable Under GST? Experts Say No GST Liability Exists. A discussion on a forum addressed the issue of whether financial credit notes issued by a company, in this case, Reliance Industries, are taxable under GST when provided as a post-sale discount for timely payments. Two experts responded, stating that there is no GST liability on such credit notes since they do not involve a supply of goods or services. The original inquirer thanked the respondents and requested information on any relevant court decisions or case laws regarding financial credit notes. (AI Summary)
