New Partnership Firm Can Obtain GST Registration at Same Location with Different PAN, Says Discussion A user inquired about obtaining a GST registration for a new partnership firm at the same premises where an existing proprietorship firm is already registered for GST. The discussion involved several participants providing their views. One suggestion was to apply for a new GSTIN using a different PAN, which is permissible under GST rules. Another participant referenced a relevant decision by the Authority for Advance Ruling in Kerala. The consensus was that it is possible to register a new partnership firm at the same location, provided it involves different entities or PANs. (AI Summary)
