Import of Soyabean oil-reg.

MANASH MUKHERJEE

Dear Sir,

What is the present provision of import of Soyabean oil( CTH 15070910) from Bangladesh under SAFTA Notification after implementation of CAROTAR 2020.

With regards,

Preferential tariff under SAFTA applies to imported soyabean oil subject to origin and regional value content conditions. Import of soyabean oil from Bangladesh is eligible for zero preferential tariff under SAFTA only if origin criteria are met: a change in tariff subheading combined with 30% regional value content (CTSH + 30% RVC). The item is otherwise subject to MFN tariffs or other regional arrangements, and import is permitted freely without DGFT licence where no special restrictions apply. (AI Summary)
