ITC under RCM

Prabhat Tripathy

Respected Sir

What will be the rate of GST for GTA service Receiver under RCM with ITC?

Reverse charge for GTA services: receiver liable to pay GST under RCM; ITC applicability noted. Multiple forum respondents state that the GST payable by the recipient under the Reverse Charge Mechanism for Goods Transport Agency services is five percent; one respondent qualifies that this applies where the GTA supplier has not claimed Input Tax Credit, while another asserts the recipient's liability remains at that rate irrespective of the supplier's ITC claim. However this rate is applicable if the GTA had not claimed any ITC.
