Complete seizure process step by step

Sudhir Kumar

Sir please let me described the steps of the seizure process step by step while a conveyance carrying the illegal exportation of goods.

Guide to Seizing Goods and Vehicles in Illegal Export: Panchnama, Seizure Memo, Show Cause Notice, and Penalties A forum discussion outlines the step-by-step process for the seizure of goods and vehicles involved in illegal exportation. The process includes drawing a Panchnama, preparing a Seizure Memo, impounding the vehicle, and keeping the seized items in government custody until provisional release. A show cause notice is issued for confiscation, and penalties may be imposed. The goods and vehicle can be released provisionally with a bond or bank guarantee. After investigation, a show cause notice is issued, and the case is adjudicated with penalties imposed on the owner, the person dealing, and the driver. Participants also reference specific legal provisions for further guidance. (AI Summary)
