Company Struggles to Remove Scrap from SEZ Due to Lost Invoice; Consider Paying Duties or Consult SEZ Rules 47-49 A company based in a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is facing difficulties removing scrap material due to the loss of the original invoice, as required by the SEZ officer. The company inquired if it is possible to remove the material without the invoice, possibly by paying customs charges on the scrap value. One response suggested that paying applicable duties should resolve the issue, while another advised consulting Rules 47 to 49 of the SEZ Rules 2006 for guidance. (AI Summary)
