Online LUT Bond - Proof of export is required??

Bhavya P

Dear Sir/Madam,

While getting the LUT Bond from department we were submitting the proof of export, how about online submission do we need to submit the proof of exports.

Proof of export: electronic export clearance matching across government systems suffices as evidence; retain shipping documents. No physical proof of export need be submitted to the department when filing an online LUT bond; taxpayers must retain full export records. Electronic interconnection and data matching that records the LEO date in the tax system will be treated as proof of export administratively, while original export documents (invoice, packing list, shipping bill, BRC, bill of lading) must be preserved for the prescribed retention period. ICEGATE, DGFT and GSTN are now interconnected. The date of LEO would be treated as export of goods outside of the country and mentioning of this information in the GSTN and its' matching with ICEGATE and DGFT Website would be treated as Proof of Export. However, prescribed documents i.e. Invoice, Packing list, shipping bills, BRC and Bill of Lading needs to be preserved as per the prescribed time limit.
