E-WAY BILL - BILLED TO & SHIPPED TO

SAFETAB LIFESCIENCE

Respected Experts,

Our company is in Pondicherry. We are placing orders through agents in chennai and the materials are coming from Mumbai or Gujarat or Hyderabad.

A is the manufacturer B is the agent C is us and user (Company). A has to raise Tax Invoice as Billed to B and Shipped to C. We were informed that at present Two e-way bills to be issued. One is raised by A and for the movement from Mumabi to Chennai and another e-way bill raised by B for the movement from Chennai to Pondicherry. Is right ? Also we were informed both e-way bills to be carried by the transported from Mumbai itself ? But actually, goods will be moved from Mumabi(A) to Pondicherry(C). Suppose if the agent(B) raised e-way bill for movement from Chennai to Pondicherry it will be valid for 2 days only.

From Mumbai it will take minimum 7 days to reach consignment to Pondy

New Rules: Dual E-Way Bills Required for Direct Shipments via Agents; Validity Issues Arise in Multi-City Transactions A company in Pondicherry orders materials through an agent in Chennai, with goods shipped from Mumbai, Gujarat, or Hyderabad. The manufacturer (A) must issue a tax invoice billed to the agent (B) and shipped to the company (C). Two e-way bills are needed: one from A to B and another from B to C. The goods move directly from Mumbai to Pondicherry, taking seven days, while the e-way bill from Chennai to Pondicherry is valid for only two days. Experts advise issuing two e-way bills, despite the goods not physically reaching the agent, as per current regulations. (AI Summary)
