Medical bills and reimbursement expenses

Guest

Hi experts,hope all good..

my query is our client in the business of hotel business, medical reimbursement expense, medical check bills, lic of some staff and md,gm etc..house rent of managers will come under gst or not... where i can show these expenses ...

GST treatment of employee benefits: medical reimbursements treated as part of salary, not taxable; input credit query remains. Respondents state that expenses attached to salary do not form part of taxable value for GST; medical expenses and medical check-up bills are treated under the salary head and therefore not subject to GST. A separate query asks whether GST credit is available for medicines purchased by the company for emergency or first-aid purposes, since those purchases may be company expenses rather than salary. Any expense which is attached with salary i.e. part of salary cannot form the part of taxable value. Medical expenses and Medical Check Bills fall under the Salary Head. Hence no GST is payable. This is my view.

Agree with Sh. Kasturi ji. Anything which is part of salary is not chargeable to GST.

Dear Sir Kasturi ji.

For the same medical bill or expenses - what if the company is incurring an expense of medicines which are purchased for employee emergency provisions or company First-Aid , will GST charged on such medicine purchases be eligible for credit -- as its an company expense and nowhere affects employee salary?

Thanks & Regards.
