TDS on foreign sponsorship payments not applicable, where payment is for logo/display to a non-resident, expert suggests.
Whether TDS applies to a foreign sponsorship payment made in USD/AED to a foreign account for display of company name/logo; the respondent opines that TDS is not applicable to such a cross-border sponsorship remittance, while inviting further expert views and noting the need to confirm applicability against specific facts and relevant withholding provisions. (AI Summary)

Hi

We are sponsoring for an event that will take place at Dubai. The amount to be paid in USD/AED into foreign account.

Our company name/logo will be displayed at the event depending on the amount of contribution.

I would like to know the TDS applicabilty for the transaction.

Can any expert pls revert..

Thanks ..

In my view TDS is not applicable. However the views of other experts are solicited.
