Eligible input posted wrongly in ineligible input

Input tax credit correction pending: eligible credit misposted in interim return to be reconciled through returns regularisation.
Eligible input tax credit mistakenly reported as ineligible in GSTR-3B cannot currently be amended because no amendment provision is activated for GSTR-3B. The recommended route is to correctly report supplies in GSTR-1 and GSTR-2 and await portal-led reconciliation and activation of amendment functionality so the eligible credit can be reflected and set off when returns are regularised. (AI Summary)

HI there

I have wrongly posted eligible input tax credit in ineligible input tax and file the GSTR 3B return, i wish to know the law regarding this as i can not correct the GSTR 3B retun now so how will i get the input back as I will be filing the GSTR 2 return which will show me the input in that return, so will i get that amount back as credit after filng the GSTR 2 or GSTR 3 returns.

Wait for insertion of amendment in GSTR-3 B for July, 17 and onward. Still provision for amendment has not been activated. You know the due dates are being extended again and again, so provision for amendment will be activated only after the dust stands settled. Govt. is planning to improve quality in Common Portal System.

Unless GSTR 1, 2 & 3 is regularised the error /mistakes happened in GSTR 3B, an interim return cannot be resolved.

Thank you everyone for the response..I've contacted the GST helpdesk they too have give the same reply that after filing the GSTR 1 and GSTR 2 returns it will set off, but it's like I have to wait for more than 3-4 months for the settlement of the fund basing on the speed at which July returns have been file still it is not complete..
