clarification on services provided at abroad -reg

Ramakrishnan Seshadri

Dear Sir,

We are receiving invoices for the technical training services provided to us at abroad by our parent company .

We kindly request the experts to give opinion for this whether GST is applicable or not

If applicable means whether we have to pay under reverse charge mechanism method.

Kindly clarify

Thanks & Regards.

S.Ramakrishnan

GST Applies to Foreign Technical Training Services; IGST Payable by Recipient Under Reverse Charge Mechanism. An individual sought advice on whether Goods and Services Tax (GST) applies to technical training services received abroad from their parent company and if it should be paid under the reverse charge mechanism. Experts responded that GST is applicable as the services are considered an import. Integrated GST (IGST) should be paid by the recipient under the reverse charge mechanism. Some experts noted that services provided abroad are treated as imports, thus IGST is payable. Additionally, one response highlighted the complexity of controlling services paid online through methods like Bitcoin or PayPal. (AI Summary)
