Small Textile Business Seeks Clarity on Exporting to Nepal Post-GST; LUT or Bond Options Simplify Process A small-scale textile machinery parts business in Amritsar, Punjab, is facing confusion regarding exporting goods to Nepal following the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Previously, exports to Nepal were straightforward with minimal documentation and no associated costs. The business, which falls under the 18% GST slab and issues invoices below 20,000 INR, is seeking clarity on the new export regulations. Respondents clarified that exports to Nepal can be conducted under a Letter of Undertaking (LUT) or Bond without IGST payment, simplifying the process by eliminating the need for ARE-1 forms.
