Supply To Govt department

mithun saha

sir/ Madam

I would like to know the GST implication on Taxable item supplied to Govt department.

I will supply furniture to Railway as per order. so whether i should charge GST in bill or there is any other treatment .

thanks

GST on supplies to government departments must be charged on invoices; no general exemption applies. Supply of taxable goods to a government department is subject to GST and suppliers must charge GST on the bill because there is no notification exempting supplies made to government departments. Sir,

There is no notification exempting supplies made to Govt. department. Hence they are liable to gst.
