Pending Bank Conformation for payment

We have deposited GST thru SBI on 24.08.16. Even after 24 hrs, the payment status in Challan history shows "awaiting Bank Confirmation". As a result, we have not been able to file the GSTR 3B. We called GST helpline and were advised to get the Payment Certificate from the Bank and mail to GST. Our bank has issued the certificate showing successful remittance. The certificate has been mailed to helpdesk@gst.gov.in; & eservices@wbcomtax.gov.in. Now what is the remedy, pl suggest. Thanks.

GST deposited by you will be accounted for in your electronic cash account. Nothing to worry at all. Sometimes it takes time due to either technical problem or lethargy of the concerned dealing official. One month ago I deposited Income Tax through internet banking but the amount was accounted for in Form 26 AS after 8 days and that too when I contacted customer care Income Tax department whetead the said amount was debited from bank account on the same day. GST software is a new one such delay is normal in these days.

Hello,

After successfully authorisation of payment from bank > login to SBI > Reports > Select payment Date > Click on E-PayOrder No > click on "Click here to update the transaction status to GSTIN portal".

Then go to GST portal & check payment status under Services > Payments > challan history.

You got status "PAID"
