DURAISAMY ANANDHAN

My client is having a registered office in Tamilnadu , providing earth excavation services to a BIHAR basesd company at mining located in CHATISKAR, WEST BENGAL and ORRISSA. My doubt is GST taken at Tamilnadu is enough? or GST should take in all the three states?

GST Registration Debate: Is Registering in Client States Necessary? Refer to Section 12(2)(a) IGST Act for Clarity. A discussion on a forum addressed a query regarding Goods and Services Tax (GST) registration for a client based in Tamil Nadu, providing services to a company in Bihar with operations in Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Odisha. One participant suggested that GST registration should be obtained in Odisha and West Bengal due to service supply locations. Another countered that registration in client states is unnecessary if services are provided to a registered person, referencing Section 12(2)(a) of the IGST Act. The initial inquirer thanked the participants for their input. (AI Summary)
