Interstate supply of services requires GST registration and attracts IGST for cross state brokerage services.
Brokerage for facilitating an inter state sale of goods is an inter State supply of services requiring GST registration irrespective of local turnover thresholds, and IGST is payable on such brokerage. (AI Summary)

SIR

1.

Brokerage or commission is related to supply of goods directly or indirectly. It being inter-State sale registration is required. No threshold exemption is admissible because of inter-State sale involved. If this commission is not on account of supply of goods, then it is on what account ?
