exports under bond/lut

satbir singhwahi

For export under bond /lut , whether any bond or lut form is prescribed and where to submit it.

Export under bond or LUT allows export without IGST payment; otherwise exporter pays IGST and claims refund later. Exporters may avoid upfront IGST payment by furnishing a bond or Letter of Undertaking (LUT); absent a bond/LUT the exporter must pay IGST and claim refund, with a provisional disbursement followed by residual release after scrutiny. Relevant procedural guidance is available in customs/GST circulars and exporters should file the prescribed bond or LUT to use the export without payment mechanism. (AI Summary)

As an exporter you need to pay IGST first & then later you need to claim refund for it.

You will get 90% of refund in 6 days & rest 10% after scrutiny.
