Service Tax On Supervision and Travelling expense

Guest

Dear Sir,

I have received a supervision bill including travelling expenses like accomodation, food, travelling. he has levied the service tax on full amount including travelling expense.

Please explain.

Thanks & Regards,

Sanjay Vasava

Service tax applies to entire supervision bill, including travel expenses, under Section 67 of the Finance Act, 1994. An individual inquired about the applicability of service tax on a supervision bill that included travel-related expenses such as accommodation and food. Three responses confirmed that service tax is correctly applied to the entire amount, including travel expenses, in accordance with Section 67 of the Finance Act, 1994. The consensus among the respondents was that the service tax should be levied on the gross value of the bill. (AI Summary)
