Service tax of Clearing & Forwading charges on Export

Guest

Dear Experts,

Should we illegible for Service tax credit taken on clearing and forwarding charges of CHA Agent on our Export ?

Regards

Swapneswar Muduli

Service tax credit available for clearing and forwarding charges, including where billed as customs house agent service. Exporters are eligible to take credit for service tax paid on clearing and forwarding charges of a Customs House Agent; this eligibility also applies where the charges appear as part of a consolidated customs house agent service bill and the service tax component is creditable against the exporter's output tax liability. Sir,

You are eligible to take credit of service tax paid on clearing and forwarding charges of CHA Agent. However if the same is charged as a part of customs house agent service then also you are eligible to take credit.
