Can textiles shop to sell stationeries

Guest

Dear All,

I am supplier of school uniform in karnataka, can I sell books, notebooks and stationery under my textile company name to school children.

I have TIN No, is any other registration required?

Request your assistance..

VAT registration requirement: amend or intimate VAT/CST records before adding stationery sales to existing textile business. A textile supplier may sell books and stationery under the same company, but must ensure tax-registration compliance; while a TIN may already exist, an amendment or intimation to the VAT/CST registration with the tax department is necessary to reflect the additional goods. Yes you can do so. I think no separate registration is required.
