Company Seeks Guidance on Re-Importing Goods for Repair: Explore Duty Exemptions in Notification No. 158/95-Customs. A company faced issues with an exported product and seeks guidance on re-importing it for repair, followed by re-export. An expert suggested referring to Notification No. 158/95-Customs for duty exemptions on re-imports intended for repair and re-export. Alternatively, Notification No. 94/96-Cus allows re-import with duty payment without a re-export obligation. Another expert advised using a Customs House Agent (CHA) to facilitate the re-import process by labeling it as 'Replacement' in the Bill of Entry and including the shipping bill number and invoice details.
