Indian Firm Facilitates Direct U.S. to Poland Goods Shipment; Polish Buyer to Issue Letter of Credit An Indian firm plans to purchase goods from an American company and sell them directly to a Polish firm, with shipments going straight from the U.S. to Poland. The Polish firm will open a Letter of Credit (LC) in the Indian firm's name, and the Indian firm will open an LC in the American firm's name. The main documents required are the Bill of Lading (BL), invoice, and packing list. The Indian firm should check if the Polish buyer accepts a switch BL. Sales tax is not applicable in this transaction. (AI Summary)
