we are manufacturer of industries filters & provide also service/repair. we are also trade (not manufacturer) filter cartridge & filter bag in same ECC no/premises but shown in RG-1 as manufacturing.

please advise, we have reverse any duty. also suggest us about any RULE or notification. if we have to reverse any duty, what is the formula. any problem occur at the time of excise audit form department.

Industrial Filter Manufacturer Seeks Clarity on Excise Duty for Dual Operations; Advised to Consult Range Officer A manufacturer of industrial filters, who also trades filter cartridges and bags, inquired about excise duty obligations and potential issues during audits. The query highlighted the use of the same premises for manufacturing and trading, with both activities recorded in the RG-1 register. The first response advised maintaining separate storage for traded goods and consulting the jurisdictional Range officer to prevent complications. The second response agreed with the advice, suggesting seeking departmental guidance or expert support if needed. (AI Summary)
