E Filing details different from form 16

Guest

Hi All, I invested some amount of my income to PPF. It will come under 80C which is non taxble. But i didnt upload the info in my company so it is not avalable in form 16. SO while efiling can i add investment amount in 80C column?

Public Provident Fund investment can be added under section 80C during e-filing; send proof to Bangalore Office. An individual inquired about including a Public Provident Fund (PPF) investment under section 80C, which was not reflected in their Form 16, during e-filing of income tax. A respondent confirmed that the investment could be added while filing and suggested sending proof to the Bangalore Office with the return acknowledgment. The individual also asked about the verification process, to which the respondent explained that the income tax department verifies information using the PAN card. The discussion involved clarifications on tax filing procedures and verification methods. (AI Summary)
