Excise duty on tool & Dies(Export)

Guest

Dear Expert,

We are manufacturing of auto parts and export to various country now my query is that if we are manufacturing tool and die for produce of exported material and customer payment of tool & dies value please suggest us Excise duty applicable. Otherwise we are show amortize value on ARE-1(Export under UT- 1)at time of clearance of producing goods.

Auto parts maker must include amortized cost of tools and dies in exported goods' value per ARE-1 form. A manufacturer of auto parts inquired about the applicability of excise duty on tools and dies used for producing exported materials, with the customer covering their cost. An expert advised that excise duty should include the finished goods' value plus the amortized cost of tools and dies, which should be reflected on the ARE-1 form. Another response clarified that while there is no duty on exports, the amortization cost should be added to the assessable value of the exported auto parts to safeguard revenue. (AI Summary)
