Excess Excise Duty Issue: Refund Application, Future Adjustment, or Notify Central Excise Department? A query was raised regarding the payment of excess excise duty amounting to 1,90,000 on two sales bills in August 2014. Three responses were provided. One suggested filing a refund application with the department. Another advised adjusting the excess duty against future duty liabilities or seeking a refund. The third response recommended notifying the jurisdictional Central Excise Department with all supporting documents. (AI Summary)
