RD PAYMENT IN HSS

vijay shukla

HI MATES,

CAN YOU CONFIRM THAT IF SUPPLIER AND HSS SELLER BOTH ARE SAME IN CASE OFF HSS, HAS REVENUE DUTY TO BE PAID IN HIGH SEA SALES OR NOT.

SINCE HSS BUYER IS DIFFERENT ONE,SO I DONT THINK SO THAT RD HAS TO BE PAY.

KINDLY ADVISE.

Liability for Revenue Duty in High Sea Sales: Buyer and Consignee Responsibilities Explained, Including SVB Bond Requirement. In a discussion forum, a participant inquired about the liability for Revenue Duty (RD) in High Sea Sales (HSS) transactions, specifically when the supplier and HSS seller are the same, but the HSS buyer is different. A response from a consultant clarified that the buyer is responsible for Customs Duty in HSS transactions. Another participant questioned whether RD is payable when the importer changes post-HSS. The consultant confirmed that RD is payable, and another contributor added that the consignee must pay RD and submit an SVB bond during clearance, referencing a specific public notice for procedure details.
