Import trader can do export transanctions?

karunakar reddy

We are traders and we import the material and sell the goods. Now we want to export the import material. Is it possible a trader to export who is importing the same material.

Please clarify if any notification is there to proceed.

Thanks,

Traders Can Re-Export Imported Goods: Follow Section 74 of the Customs Act and Obtain Board Permission for Duty Drawback. An import trader inquired about the possibility of exporting imported materials. Three responses confirmed that traders can re-export goods. One response advised obtaining an IEC code and consulting the forum for guidance. Another response highlighted that re-exporting is allowed under Section 74 of the Customs Act, provided it occurs within two years of import, the goods remain unused, and are in original packaging. Permission from the Board is required to proceed, and failure to meet these conditions would result in no duty drawback. (AI Summary)
