Tuition Fee Deductions Under Section 80C: Applicable for All Grades, Not Just 11th and 12th! Check Your Eligibility. A forum participant inquired about the eligibility of tuition fee deductions under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act, specifically questioning whether deductions apply only to tuition fees for students in 11th and 12th grades. The participant's office clerk had refused to allow deductions for tuition fees from 1st to 10th grade. A respondent clarified that income tax rules do not restrict deductions to specific classes and advised the participant to ask the clerk for the basis of their claim, asserting that deductions should be available for all classes.
