Dear All,
We are paint manufactureres and clearing goods under MRP rate and paying excise duty after abetement. What is the maximum litres in a single pack we can clear under MRP? we are doing now up to 20 ltrs in a single pack under MRP and paying excise duty under abetement.
Some mfg units asking paints for more than 25 ltrs in a single pack under their Purchase Order. Can we clear and pay excise duty based on their PO rate without any abetement since customer are manufacturer.
In ER1 return whether we have to show separately without MRP clearance and MRP clearances.
Kindly give your valuable suggessions
Thanks
Venkat
Paint Manufacturer Seeks Guidance on MRP Regulations for Larger Packs and ER-1 Reporting Requirements A paint manufacturer inquires about the regulations for clearing goods under Maximum Retail Price (MRP) and paying excise duty after abatement. They currently clear up to 20 liters per pack under MRP but have received requests for packs over 25 liters. They seek guidance on whether they can clear larger packs based on purchase order rates without abatement and how to report these in ER-1 returns. A respondent advises that packs up to 25 liters can be cleared under MRP, and larger packs can be cleared based on purchase orders without abatement, with separate reporting for MRP and non-MRP clearances.
