Wrong Invoice Number in Form C

We have issued the Form C to our supplier and supplier invoice contains 12 Digit number, erroneously for few invoices we have entered only last 5 digits and issued the Form C.

The value and the date is in line with the invoice and has no Error.

Now the dealer is asking for the complete invoice number in place of partially entered.

Kindly advise on above matter that is the invoice number so important for the Form C.

In this scenario you may approach to the Jurisdictional VAT/CST Authority for getting it cancelled or rectified, accordingly. Law allows to rectify such typo mistakes/errors.
