ER IV - points clarification

Mathurthi RamKumar

Dear All,

Greetings of the day. I want to fill my first ER IV return. I have lot of confusion in ER IV below points. (Details of Expenditure)

1. Total value of inputs including packing materials and components used for manufacturing on which CENVAT credit availed (value as per purchase invoice or important document excluding all taxes). -

2. Toatl value of inputs Including packing materials used for manufacturing on which CENVAT credit not availed.--????

What values i have take for above two points. Please guide me for above points. If any have ER IV with examples kindly share me.

Regards

M.RamKumar

CENVAT credit reporting: report invoice values excluding taxes for inputs where credit was taken and separately for inputs where credit was not taken. ER IV requires reporting the total invoice value (excluding taxes) of inputs, packing materials and components used in manufacture on which CENVAT credit has been availed, and separately the total invoice value of such items on which CENVAT credit has not been availed (for example items used exclusively for exempted goods or otherwise non creditable). Classification should follow whether credit was actually taken, and stores, spares and capital goods must be included in the appropriate category based on credit availed. (AI Summary)

Dear Mr.Ramkumar,

For the first point as it mentioned clearly, you need to consider all the inputs, PM, components on which you have availed CENVAT Credit.

For the second point, if you are receiving any inputs, PM or components, on which you are not availing CENVAT Credit for some special requirement like, if such material are using exclusively for MFG of exempted material etc.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your reply. But still i am in confusion. Pls clarify in detail. I am working in a kraft paper manufacturing unit. We are purchasing imp.waste paper, chemicals , stores and spares capital goods (with cenvat and without cenvat). We have no exempted material. I have to take all above values? (Someone told me not consider stores and capital items). For point no.2 can i consider purchase value without cenvat items ??

Regards

M.RamKumar
