CENVAT credit entitlement: registration application creates deemed registration allowing credit from application date; seek expedited certificate.
Application for Central Excise registration results in a deemed registration from the date of application, permitting the assesse to claim CENVAT credit from that date provided the application is not rejected for lack of documents; assessees should either await the registration certificate, request expedited issuance, or seek assistance from the Assistant/Deputy Commissioner before removing excisable goods to minimise compliance risk. (AI Summary)
