Tax on Hoarding at home

Guest

Hi,

I have started selling of Handlooms things (Bedsheets, sofacover, towels) from home only. Its a very small business.

For this, I used a small hoarding board at my home main gate.

I want to know is this applicable to pay any kind of tax ?

I am living in Gurgaon, Haryana (India).

Thanks

Sunil

No Service Tax for Home-Based Ad Hoarding, Check Local Rules for Permissions and Fees An individual from Gurgaon, Haryana, inquired about potential tax obligations for using a small hoarding board to advertise their home-based handloom business. Two responses clarified that there is no service tax liability for such self-service activities. However, it was advised to consult the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon regarding any local regulations on hoardings, as permission might be required, subject to nominal fees. The advice emphasized checking with local authorities to ensure compliance with municipal by-laws. (AI Summary)
