CT 2 / Anneuxre 45

SWAMINATHAN RAMANATHAN

Our Final Product is exempted.from Excise.  To buy our raw material, we get permission in CT-2 (Annexure 45) and procure the material for our production.  Recently we received the imported material  from our another plant. is there any need to get annexure 45/CT 2 for this also.  We received C T 2 for some quantity for this also and reported in Quarterly return in Anneuxre 46 also.

Pl. let what is the impact of this transaction. Kindly let me know the procedure also.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

Clarification on CT-2 Certificate: Necessary for procuring excisable goods for export warehousing; duties waived if products are exported. A participant inquired about the necessity of obtaining a CT-2 certificate for imported raw materials used in producing an excise-exempt final product. They mentioned receiving CT-2 for some quantities and reporting it in their quarterly return. The response clarified that a CT-2 certificate is used for procuring excisable goods under export warehousing procedures. If the final products are exported, excisable goods can be procured without paying duty. (AI Summary)
