Manufacturer Seeks Clarity on RG-1 Record Maintenance and ER-1 Returns for Pre-Engineered Buildings; Consultant Offers Guidance A manufacturer of pre-engineered buildings and parts inquired about maintaining RG-1 records and completing ER-1 returns, given their varied billing methods by unit or whole structure. A consultant advised that bought-out goods need not be entered in RG-1, while manufactured goods can be listed as semi-finished or finished, depending on their classification.
