PANKAJ GUPTA

Dear Sir,

Please let me know applicability of Form 15CB taken from Chartered Accountant. whether this certificate required only in case of foreign remittance related to income chargeable to tax in India  or this is applicable for all foreign remittances including import of goods.

Please let me know whether Form CA to be filled online in case of foreign remittances which covered under chargeable to tax in India or this to be filled up in all foreign remittances.

Clarification on Form 15CA and 15CB: Required for All Foreign Remittances, Including Imports, Not Just Taxable Transactions. A user inquired about the applicability of Form 15CB and Form 15CA for foreign remittances, questioning whether these forms are required only for remittances taxable in India or for all foreign transactions, including imports. Anuj Gupta clarified that exemptions apply only to specific payments, excluding imports, and the Chartered Accountant must determine the taxability of remittances. Pankaj Gupta further asked about Form 15CA's applicability. Saji John responded that Form 15CA must be filed online for all foreign remittances, including imports, after obtaining Form 15CB from a Chartered Accountant. (AI Summary)
