Guidance on Exporting Goods as Merchant Exporter: Use CT-1 Form to Avoid Excise Duty or Claim Rebate on Duty Paid. A manufacturer inquires about exporting goods produced by another manufacturer without disclosing the client's name. They seek guidance on preparing invoices, packaging, and ARE-1 forms under Central Excise rules. An expert advises that goods can be exported as a Merchant Exporter by either purchasing them with excise duty and claiming a rebate upon export or procuring them under a CT-1 form without paying excise duty. Another expert concurs, recommending the CT-1 procedure for such exports. (AI Summary)
