NRI Seeks Guidance on Transferring Taxed Income to NRE Account; Forms 15CA, 15CB Required, CA Certificate Advised An individual, identified as an NRI, inquired about transferring previously taxed income from an Indian account to an NRE account. They sought guidance on whether a Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is necessary for this process. The response referenced Circular No. 117, which permits such transfers, and advised that Form 15CA and 15CB are required. It was suggested that obtaining a CA certificate confirming the tax payment might be beneficial. The discussion focused on compliance with Indian tax regulations for NRIs transferring funds between accounts. (AI Summary)
