of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: SION C-593 now includes alloy steel in import/export of HR coils, plates, and pipes.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has modified SION C-593 under the Engineering Product Group, as per the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-14. The import list now includes both non-alloy and alloy steel HR coils/plates, replacing the previous specification of only non-alloy steel. The export product description has been updated to include non-alloy/alloy steel submerged arc welded pipes and hot-formed steel bends as per API or ASTM grades. The number and quantity of inputs permitted remain unchanged. This modification allows the use of alloy steel in addition to non-alloy steel for both import and export products.
