Finance Ministry Extends Deadline for Using Re-credited 4% CVD in DEPB Scheme to June 30, 2011.
The circular from the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, addresses the extension of the deadline for utilizing re-credited 4% CVD (Special Additional Duty) amounts in the Duty Entitlement Passbook (DEPB) scheme. Initially set to expire on December 30, 2010, the deadline is extended to June 30, 2011, following requests from trade and industry stakeholders. This extension allows more time for businesses to use their re-credited DEPB or Reward Scheme scrips for duty payments. Relevant public notices and standing orders are to be issued for the guidance of trade and customs staff.
