of <h1>Central Board of Excise & Customs decides not to invoke Section 11C; duty on bulk drugs for specified period to be collected.</h1> The Central Board of Excise & Customs examined the proposal to invoke Section 11C of the Central Excise Act, 1944, regarding bulk drugs, formulations, and specified drug intermediates for the period from January 6, 1995, to February 8, 1995. After discussion, the Board decided not to proceed with the invocation, as there was no established practice of non-levy of duty on these goods during the specified period. Consequently, the duty owed on these goods for that time frame should be collected, with notification to the Board. Acknowledgment of the receipt of this letter is requested.
