of <h1>Textile Units Get Extended Deadline to Declare Stock Until June 15, 2003, u/r 9A Due to Trade Agitation.</h1> The deadline for textile units to declare stock of inputs as of April 1, 2003, under Rule 9A of the Cenvat Credit Rules, 2000, was initially set for May 26, 2003. Despite an earlier decision not to extend this date, many units, particularly in Surat, were unable to comply due to trade agitation. Following recommendations from the Ministry of Textile, the deadline has been extended to June 15, 2003, as a special concession. Units must also apply for registration to benefit from this extension, as per Notification No. 52/2003-C.E. (N.T.) issued on June 6, 2003.
